Samples must be collected using your own materials. Use paper to pack each sample, avoid plastic. Sealing samples in plastic bags or plastic tubes can cause your samples to degrade.

  • Newborn puppies: umbilical cord (link opens in new window)
  • Puppies less than six weeks old: hair with roots (link opens in new window)
  • Mature dogs: hair with roots, or mouth swabs (link opens in new window)

Contaminated samples cause incorrect results, so clean your hands before taking every sample.
